Chiang Mai exam guide

How to take a Pearson VUE exam in Chiang Mai

Everything you need to go from choosing a certification to sitting it at Movaci, Northern Thailand's only Pearson VUE Select center, on Changklan Road in Chiang Mai. Booking, preparation, getting here, and what happens on exam day.

6 steps · about a 4-minute read

Before you begin

  • A Pearson VUE account for your exam vendor
  • Your exact exam name and code, for example AZ-900
  • Two valid, unexpired, government-issued IDs

Step 1

Choose your exam and vendor

Movaci delivers exams through Pearson VUE, covering hundreds of organizations including Microsoft, Cisco, ISC2, CompTIA, EC-Council, AWS, Google Cloud, VMware, Oracle, Red Hat, and PMI. Start by confirming the exact exam and exam code you need, for example AZ-900, CCNA, Security+, or CISSP.

Your certification body sets the exam fee, the rules, and the booking path. Movaci is the place you sit the exam, not the organization you register or pay through, so always begin with your vendor's certification page.

Step 2

Book your exam and choose Movaci

Most vendors route scheduling through Pearson VUE. Sign in to your Pearson VUE account, select your exam, then search for a test center and choose Movaci in Chiang Mai.

Pick a date and time, review the policies for your exam, and pay Pearson VUE directly. You will receive a confirmation email with your appointment details. Movaci does not take exam payment and cannot book, move, or cancel an appointment on your behalf, every change is made with Pearson VUE.

Book early. Popular exams and peak periods fill up, and booking ahead gives you the date and time that suits you.

Step 3

Prepare, and request accommodations early if you need them

Give yourself a realistic study runway. Use your vendor's official objectives, practice tests, and hands-on labs, and book your exam for a date that matches your preparation, not the other way around. Movaci also runs instructor-led training and exam prep for many of these certifications if you want structured help.

If you have a documented disability or medical need, Pearson VUE provides reasonable adjustments, but they must be requested and approved through Pearson VUE before you schedule. Allow up to about 20 days, as the process depends on your exam program.

Step 4

Plan your trip to the center

Movaci is on Changklan Road in central Chiang Mai, near the Night Bazaar, rather than on a university campus at the edge of the city. That makes it easy to reach from across Chiang Mai and from Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, and the wider north.

Parking is available at the front of the building. If the front is full, call ahead on +66 (052) 079 455 and the team will direct you to backup parking. Friends or family cannot wait inside during your exam, but there are cafes nearby, including Mingmitr Coffee a short walk south.

Step 5

On exam day

Arrive 15 to 30 minutes early so check-in is unhurried. Bring a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID whose name exactly matches your Pearson VUE registration, and check whether your exam needs a second ID.

Personal items are not allowed in the exam room. You get a private, keyed locker for your phone, bag, and watch. The center is a Pearson VUE Select facility with enhanced identity checks, a separate check-in area, and continuous monitoring, which protects the integrity of your result.

For the full list of what to bring, security and privacy details, and accessibility information, see the test center FAQ.

Step 6

After your exam

Many IT certification exams show a provisional result at the end of your session, while some academic and professional exams take longer. Pearson VUE and your certification body issue the official result and any certificate or badge.

If you need to retake an exam, that is arranged through your vendor and Pearson VUE under their retake policy. When you are ready for the next credential, you can book it the same way and sit it with us again.
